Society for Classical Studies

The Society for Classical Studies (SCS) is the leading learned society in North America for the study of ancient Greek, Roman, and Mediterranean languages, literature, and civilizations. The Society’s publications and programs, and interests of its members, are increasingly broad, encompassing cross-cultural comparison and the reception of antiquity. While the majority of members are university Classics faculty, students, and teachers, all with an interest in the ancient Mediterranean world can join the SCS.
