The rapid evolution of air traffic management technologies is reshaping the regulatory and certification landscape, challenging established processes while creating new opportunities for innovation. This panel will address how regulatory frameworks can effectively accommodate emerging technologies without compromising safety, interoperability, or operational robustness. The discussion will explore mechanisms for integrating innovation into existing and future regulatory structures, including the transition from service providers’ responsibility for ground equipment towards approved design and production organisations. Particular emphasis will be placed on the development of clear, detailed, and implementable specifications that support compliance attestation activities while remaining adaptable to technological change.
