Lisa Bee is director of air traffic services at Viasat, bringing more than 30 years of experience in air traffic management. In her current role, she supports the development of satellite-based communication services, working closely with service providers, operators, regulatory authorities and industry groups.
Before joining Viasat, Bee spent 20 years with the Federal Aviation Administration. She began as an air traffic controller and held roles in air traffic procedures, requirements development, system operational test and evaluation, National Airspace System weather, and as chief of staff for air traffic services. She also supported the Federal Aviation Administration Air Traffic Organization Safety organization.

Lisa Bee is an active participant in international aviation forums. She is a member of the ICAO Operational Data Link Working Group and serves as an adviser to the ICAO Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems Panel C2 Link Working Group and the ICAO Separation and Airspace Safety Panel. She also participates in the ISPACG FANS Interoperability Team and co-chairs the CANSO CNS Working Group and its TBO Task Force.
