Lieutenant-Colonel Neil Ryan is an Aerospace Control Officer with extensive experience in military air traffic control and joint operations. After excelling on his Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) course, he served at Moose Jaw as Chief Controller (IFR). He later qualified as a Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) and supported Canadian Army training at CFB Gagetown as G3 (Air). Posted to Tinker AFB, Oklahoma, he served as Mission Crew Commander on USAF E-3 AWACS and held leadership roles in operations, including Assistant Director of Operations and Deputy Commanding Officer of the Canadian Detachment. He is a graduate of the USAF Air Command and Staff College, holds a BA (Psychology) and MA, and now leads training as Commandant of the Canadian Forces School of Aerospace Control Operations.
