Enjoy a 90-minute guided walking tour through historic Philadelphia as the nation approaches America 250 - the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
Meet your professional guide and walk to the historic district, passing through Chinatown along the way. Explore “America’s most historic square mile,” including views of the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, where both the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution were created.
Continue past iconic landmarks such as the Betsy Ross House and Elfreth’s Alley, the oldest continuously inhabited residential street in the country. Additional highlights may include Congress Hall, Carpenter’s Hall, Christ Church, and the burial site of Benjamin Franklin.
The tour also includes a stop at the National Constitution Center, where you can experience the powerful “Freedom Rising” presentation and explore interactive exhibits time permitting.
On the return enjoy a walk-through of Reading Terminal Market and enjoy a sweet treat! Our famous farmers’ market boasts more than 80 independent merchants and vendors, including local farmers, butchers, bakers, and diverse, multi-ethnic eateries. Situated in a historic 1893 building, it is one of America's largest and oldest public markets, offering a mix of fresh produce, Amish goods, and specialized foods.
