Biography

Shannon McGahn is the executive vice president and chief advocacy officer for the National Association of REALTORS, which represents more than 1.5 million members in every zip code in America involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries. A trusted leader in government and public affairs, Shannon’s nearly 25 year career includes serving as staff director and in senior roles for the House Financial Services Committee under two chairmen, where she was instrumental in crafting House Republicans’ strategy during the financial crisis and throughout the recovery. She also served as counselor to the U.S. Treasury secretary, managing stakeholder and messaging campaigns to ensure successful passage of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.  Additionally, Shannon has held communications roles for three members of House leadership and served as vice president for a public affairs firm and a consulting firm focused on grassroots communications.
