Originally opened in the early 1930s as the headquarters of the Philadelphia Savings Fund Society (PSFS), the building holds a unique place in American history as the first savings bank in the United States.<\/p>

Designed by pioneering architects George Howe and William Lescaze, the PSFS Building revolutionized the urban skyline with its bold modernist design and state-of-the-art amenities. Constructed at an estimated cost of $8 million, it quickly became a symbol of innovation and progress. In 1969, the Philadelphia chapter of the American Institute of Architects recognized it as the city\u2019s most important building of the previous century, and it was later added to the National Register of Historic Places.<\/p>
