Ed Karasek is a Director of Commodity Risk at Metal Edge Partners. He focuses on global macroeconomic and commodity analysis, insights and delivering value driven business guidance utilizing fundamental and technical indicators and leveraging his over 20 years of experience in commodities markets. Ed began his career in physical steel and raw material sales with Cargill before transitioning to market analysis and commodity risk management roles with Cargill and Worthington Steel. Ed then held various positions managing the risk on an $800MM derivative portfolio for General Mills across Agriculture, Dairy and Energy markets. In August 2024, Ed joined Metal Edge Partners with an emphasis on Ferrous/Metals market intelligence, trade execution and client risk management and derivative education.
