Estelle Tran is a senior analyst at CRU based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In her role, Estelle works with data providers who contribute to CRU's Midwest flat-rolled steel indices and assesses Galvalume and ferrous scrap pricing for CRU. She started covering US steel markets as an editor for S&P Global Platts in 2011, and over the years has covered the flat-rolled steel, bulk ferroalloys, long steel, and primary aluminum markets as well as trade issues. In 2017, Estelle joined CRU as a steel and ferroalloy prices analyst. Estelle previously served as the president of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Association of Women in the Metal Industries and vice president for the Northeast Region. She earned a B.A. In English writing and history from the University of Pittsburgh.
