He also chairs the Steel Committee of the European Advanced Carbon and Graphite Association (ECGA), where he works at the intersection of industry advocacy and Europe's evolving trade and decarbonization policy landscape. Prior to GrafTech, Alexey spent more than eight years at McKinsey & Company's Metals & Mining Practice, leading projects across the steel value chain — from corporate strategy and commercial excellence to market and price analytics — and serving as a global research leader for steel, responsible for proprietary cost curve, supply-demand, and industry outlook knowledge assets.
