Biography
Annelise Gonzalez, MPA, AHWD serves as Chief Operating Officer at the San Antonio Board of REALTORS® (SABOR), where she oversees operations, strategic initiatives, and organizational development for one of the nation’s largest local REALTOR® associations. In her role, she works closely with executive leadership and the Board of Directors to support governance, long-term planning, and cross-departmental operations, while advancing initiatives that strengthen member value and organizational sustainability.
Annelise brings extensive experience in association management, advocacy, and community engagement. Her leadership has contributed to national recognition for SABOR, including multiple Global Achievement Awards and DEI honors, and she has helped cultivate strong partnerships with municipal leaders, chambers, and community stakeholders to advance housing policy, economic development, and REALTOR® advocacy. In recognition of her leadership and impact, Annelise is a recipient of the San Antonio Business Journal’s 2025 Women in leadership Award.
In addition to her professional responsibilities, Annelise is deeply committed to civic and volunteer service. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Hemisfair Conservancy, supporting the stewardship and activation of one of San Antonio’s most significant civic spaces. She is also a SA100 Cohort Member, joining a select group of leaders recognized for their influence and commitment to the future of the San Antonio region. Previously, Annelise was appointed by the Governor of Texas to serve a four-year term on the Nueces River Authority Board, and served on the South Texas Business Partnership Board.
A dedicated advocate for leadership development, Annelise has long been involved with the Latina Leadership Institute, where she has served as Chair and Co-Chair, supporting the advancement of Latina professionals into leadership roles across business, nonprofit, and public service sectors.
Annelise holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in public administration from The University of Texas at San Antonio and is an At Home With Diversity® (AHWD) designee. Her early career includes experience in state and federal government, having worked with U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison and U.S. Congressman Lamar Smith.
Annelise is married to Cesar Gonzalez sharing two children, Audrey (16) and Christian (13).
