Sarah Rayne, RCE, CAE, AHWD, ePRO®, C2EX, is the CEO of the Howard County Association of REALTORS® in Maryland. She’s been working with REALTOR® associations for 12 years, in varying roles – first as Government Affairs Director, then Director of Operations, and now CEO.

She currently serves on the NAR AEC and previously served for five years on the AEC-RCE Advisory Board, including one year as Chair. She has also previously served on the Reimagining Core Standards and Broker Relations workgroups, as well as on the AExperience Magazine Advisory Board, and is still a regular contributing writer.  In 2025, she was inducted into the NAR Dr. Almon R. (Bud) Smith, RCE, AE Leadership Society as a leading contributor to the real estate industry and to her profession.

In Maryland, she serves as Chair of her state association’s AE Committee, while also serving on the Maryland REALTORS® Issues Mobilization Committee, as well as previously on the Boards of Directors for the Real Estate Brokers of Baltimore and the Central Maryland Chapter of the LGBTQ+ Alliance.

She is currently enrolled in the Johns Hopkins Executive & Leadership Coaching Academy and is a candidate for International Coaching Federation Certification. She earned her degree in communications with a focus in print journalism from Salisbury University and worked as a political newspaper reporter for five years before joining the REALTOR® family. She was born and raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and loves reading, writing, her dog, and above all, her son.
