Session # 3 - What Worked: Lessons from Launching Addiction Medicine in a Rural Hospital

The presenters will explore how two rural hospitals implemented an Addiction Medicine Consult Service. Attendees will gain insights into integrating care across ED, inpatient, and outpatient (public health department) settings. It highlights operational strategies and small team approaches that improved outcomes and expanded access for substance use disorder patients in low-resource environments.
