Liz is a Registered Nurse and Simulation Coordinator with over 15 years of experience at Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH). With a clinical background in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU),and more than eight years of experience in healthcare simulation, Liz is dedicated to leveraging simulation not only as an educational tool to strengthen interprofessional collaboration, but also as a driver of quality improvement and patient safety. Through the facilitation of “diagnostic simulations,” she applies simulation-based methodologies to analyze real-world central line management practices. Insights gained from these simulations help identify knowledge and process gaps, leading to targeted improvements that enhance both clinical performance and patient outcomes.
