Dr. Ronald Ruffing is a retired Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician who practiced emergency medicine and pediatrics for forty years. He was formerly the Chief of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Tufts Medical Center, Boston, and the Chief of the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Detroit. In addition to his MD and MPH degrees, he has an Executive Master’s Degree in Disaster and Emergency Management. He leads workgroups on drills and exercises and deployable teams for Region V for Kids and the PPN, andhas a special interest in Medical Operations Coordinating Centers and making sure they meet the needs of children and families.
