Heather Ewing, CCIM, is the Founder and CEO of ABSTRACT Commercial Real Estate, a boutique firm based in downtown Madison, Wisconsin, specializing in retail, restaurant and mixed-use leasing and sales, as well as investment transactions. With more than 11 years in commercial real estate and over $151 million in development-leasing experience, Heather provides commercial development advisory to property owners and developers, helping shape tenant curation, leasing strategy, ground-floor commercial space planning and long-term asset positioning.

Her approach pairs hyper-local neighborhood knowledge with market data and art-forward content to accelerate absorption, strengthen asset value and enhance the communities surrounding each property. A recognized industry leader, Heather serves as the 2026 CCIM Regional Vice President for Region 7 (Midwest). She previously served as the region's 2025 First Vice President and as the 2024 President of both the CCIM Wisconsin Chapter and Commercial Brokers Group. She also serves on the Downtown Madison Business Improvement District Board.

Heather is a national commercial real estate speaker, creator and host of the Heather Ewing: The CRE RUNdown podcast, and has been featured by iHeartRadio, REJournals, CARW, NAIOP and WKOW-TV.

An international marathoner, Heather has completed 12 marathons and will run the Tokyo Marathon on March 7, 2027, completing her Abbott World Marathon Majors Six Star journey. She brings the same discipline, resilience and long-view mindset to leadership, business and every transaction.
