About the Programme
Hybrid Meeting
EAA 2026 is a hybrid conference, allowing participants to attend either onsite or online.
Time Zone
All conference sessions and events take place in local Greek time (EEST, UTC+3).
Venue
Unless otherwise indicated, all rooms listed in the programme are located at the conference’s main venue: the School of Philosophy at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
Daily Schedule (27–29 August)
Each day of parallel sessions is organised as follows:
- 08:30–10:30 | Parallel Sessions (Block 1)
- 10:30–11:00 | Coffee Break
- 11:00–13:00 | Parallel Sessions (Block 2)
- 13:00–14:00 | Lunch Break
- 14:00–16:00 | Parallel Sessions (Block 3)

- 16:30–18:30 | Parallel Sessions (Block 4)
Programme Updates
Any last-minute changes to the programme will be communicated through the conference mobile app and its web version.
Access to Session Rooms
Access to session rooms requires a valid conference badge.
Online Participation
Online participation will be via Zoom and the EAA 2026 Conference Mobile App, which provides session links and live streams.
Technical Arrangements
Student volunteers will assist with onsite technical setup, live streaming, and session support, with dedicated IT support available throughout the conference.
Virtual Test Rooms
Virtual test rooms will be open 24–29 August, enabling online participants to test connectivity, audio, video, and presentation materials with volunteer assistance prior to their sessions.
Poster Presentation
Poster presentations are not allocated dedicated presentation slots. Where time permits, they may be briefly presented during discussion periods. They are displayed in e-poster format via the conference mobile app and onsite on digital poster boards.
Speaker Absence
In the event of a speaker absence, the allocated time should be used for discussion or poster presentations. No changes should be made to the published schedule.

Please note that sessions and presentations will be recorded unless the session organisers or presenter(s) have requested otherwise.
Speakers' Corner
Rationale
In order to preserve the academic integrity of sessions at the 32nd EAA Annual Meeting, the EAA Executive Board (ExB) proposed to establish the Speakers’ Corner where attendees at the Annual Meeting may air their personal views deemed relevant in an EAA context that however fall outside the scope of academic sessions. The purpose is to encourage open dialogue and community engagement among Annual Meeting attendees while maintaining a respectful and safe environment for all participants. Attendance and participation are entirely voluntary. The EAA does not endorse, sponsor, or adopt the views expressed in the Speakers’ Corner. Any matters requiring ExB’s attention may be raised at the Annual Membership Business Meeting (AMBM); this is not the forum for discussion with the ExB or its individual members.
Location
Room 445 at the main venue (School of Philosophy, 4th floor; please see Maps & Plans).
Time and Organisation
The Speakers’ Corner will be open during the lunch break (13 – 14 pm EEST) on Thursday – Saturday 27 – 29 August 2026.
Speaking opportunities will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis by the moderators. Individuals wishing to speak should form a physical queue. Each speaker will be entitled to a 2-minutes window to speak. Speakers may rejoin the queue after speaking but priority will be given to people who have not yet spoken. No attendee is obliged to engage with or respond to any speaker. Recording and photography of Speakers’ Corner interventions is prohibited. Media attendance is permitted but media representatives must identify themselves to the moderators and the attendees.
Moderation
The Speakers’ Corner will be moderated to ensure smooth operation and that EAA Safe Space Policy is observed. Moderators will regulate conduct, not viewpoints, as long as these comply with EAA Safe Space Policy. ExB members will take turns in being available on the EAA help desk should a conflict escalate to ExB level, requiring ExB’s immediate attention. Once the moderators leave the room, safe space can no longer be guaranteed and the room will be closed.
The operation of the Speakers’ Corner is subject to the presence of the moderators. In the unplanned event that moderators are not in attendance, members are invited to contact [email protected]; Annual Meeting attendees will be alerted and a notice will be added to the venue if an occasion needs to be postponed to the following day or cancelled (if on the last day of the Meeting).
The Speakers’ Corner is reserved for attendee-led discussion. Views expressed here are solely those of the participants and do not represent those of the EAA or the Annual Meeting organisers.
