VILNIUS RADIOCARBON is a dedicated AMS radiocarbon dating laboratory based in Vilnius, Lithuania, serving archaeologists, museums, and heritage institutions worldwide. We date organic materials from the present back to 50,000 BP — bone, cremated bone, charcoal, wood, textile, leather, food crusts, shells, and teeth — with collagen extraction included.

The laboratory operates two accelerator mass spectrometers: a 240 kV Single Stage AMS (National Electrostatics Corporation, USA) and a Low Energy AMS (Ionplus AG, Switzerland), achieving ¹⁴C/¹²C measurement accuracy better than 0.3%. Combined with high-throughput sample-preparation facilities, this dual-instrument capacity lets us handle large dating series and high-volume projects with consistent turnaround. We also offer in-house stable isotope analysis (δ¹³C, δ¹⁵N, δ³⁴S).
