Travell, MD Seminar Series℠ course series in 1996. We introduced dry needling to Spain in 1996, the US in 1997, and many other countries since. The company was founded by Jan Dommerholt and Robert Gerwin. Jan has given over 100 lectures at conferences in the US, Canada, Australia, Mexico, Chile, Peru, India, Iran, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Dubai, and Qatar, among others. He has published five books, about 150 articles, and over 100 book chapters. He is the recipient of the 2014 Henry O. and Florence P. Kendall Practice Award by the American Physical Therapy Association, the recipient of the 2016 Janet G. Travell Excellence in Education Award by the National Association of Myofascial Trigger Point Therapists, and an Honorary Member of the Iranian Physiotherapy Association and the Polish Association of Invasive Physiotherapy. The Myopain Seminars Dry Needling Certification progresses from foundational knowledge in DN-1, through clinical applications in DN-2, to advanced techniques in DN-3. It covers the basics, safety standards, myofascial pain, and specific muscle group needling, tailored for practitioners aiming to enhance their dry needling expertise.
