ESSAT provides hands-on learning experiences that supports ATs the complexities of developing and implementing effective ATR programs. It equips ATs with practical business administration tools and a wealth of resources to support their success. In addition, ESSAT educates both athletic trainers and their employers on best practices to reduce liability and enhance operational standards. Ultimately, ESSAT is designed to empower SSATs and advance the profession of athletic training. The ESSAT Program is part of the Excellence in Athletic Training Programs, which includes other certificates such as Excellence in Collegiate Athletic Training (ECAT-C) for collegiate ATs and specialized microcredentials that further support professional growth across all AT settings.
