Athletic trainers face mounting challenges related to outdated practice acts, limited legislative recognition, and increasing workforce shortages. Many professionals are underprepared to engage in advocacy efforts that influence policy changes to support recruitment, retention, and modernized scopes of practice. This session addresses the gap between clinical practice and legislative action by equipping attendees with tools to advocate effectively at the state level.
