Katie Bowers will be finishing up her 8th year as the Associate AD for Sports Medicine and Athletics Healthcare Administrator at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Prior to UW-Parkside Bowers was the Head Athletic Trainer at the University of Illinois Springfield from 2013-2018 after serving one year as an Assistant Athletic Trainer there. Originally a native of southeastern Wisconsin. She received a BS in Athletic Training from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and then a MA in Exercise, Leisure and Sport with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Kent State University. She is also a DII representative on the NATA's ICSM and a board member of the Women's Resource Center and Bethany Apartments of Racine. She is also an active participant in the roller derby community and has 2 cats, Benjamin and Maizie.
