Neha Raukar MD, MS

Dr. Neha Raukar is a dual board–certified emergency medicine and sports medicine physician nationally recognized for advancing athlete safety in high-risk environments. Her clinical and policy work focuses on catastrophic injury prevention, including exertional heat illness, concussion, and sudden cardiac arrest.
Dr. Raukar has extensive sideline experience caring for athletes across the spectrum—from high school and collegiate athletics to Olympic and elite sport. She currently serves as a team physician for U.S. Ski & Snowboard, USA Hockey, and U.S. Figure Skating, and has spent more than a decade working to translate evidence into practical readiness strategies for those responsible for athlete care.
She has served on national committees shaping athlete health and safety policy, including the Institute of Medicine/National Academy of Sciences Committee on Sports-Related Concussion in Youth and the National Federation of State High School Associations Sports Medicine Advisory Committee. In these roles, she has helped inform education, policy, and emergency preparedness standards that directly support athletic trainers and sideline teams.
An Associate Professor and Vice Chair for Faculty Development at Mayo Clinic, Dr. Raukar is also recognized for her leadership in education and performance in high-stakes settings. She is known for bridging emergency medicine, sports medicine, and systems-based preparedness to support athletic trainers and protect athletes at all levels of sport.
