Ryan Moran PhD, ATC

Dr. Ryan N. Moran is an Associate Professor in the CAATE-accredited Athletic Training Program at The University of Alabama. He is currently the Director of the Athletic Training Research Laboratory and a research member of the Integrative Center for Athletic and Sport Technology, on UA’s campus in Tuscaloosa. Dr. Moran is also an associate member of the Concussion in Para Sport Group. Dr. Moran’s research interests include baseline and post-injury clinical evaluation of sport-related concussion. His primary work centers on modifying factors of sensorimotor interaction, neurocognition, and vestibular/ocular motor outcomes in collegiate athletes. Dr. Moran, a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in athletic training from East Stroudsburg University, later earning his doctorate in Kinesiology from Michigan State University.
