Monica Smith holds a BA in Philosophy with an English minor (2010) from Texas Tech and a Master of Athletic Training degree (2012) from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. As a Certified Athletic Trainer, she spent eight years providing medical care to athletes at large Texas high schools as well as five consecutive summers providing 2-4 weeks of medical coverage to action sports athletes at Woodward West.

Monica joined Amazon in 2020 as an Injury Prevention Specialist and progressed to a Regional Injury Prevention Manager, currently supporting the ARS South Central Super Region. Monica also chairs the Occupational Panel within NATA's Council of Practice Advancement.
