Alex Dailey is a Certified Athletic Trainer in the Recreational Sports Department at Michigan State University. He completed his bachelor’s degree at Michigan State University (B.S., 2014), became a certified Athletic Trainer in 2014, and finished his master’s degree at the University of Virginia (M.Ed., 2015). He has served in several positions: Assistant Athletic Trainer at Northwood University (2015-2018), Athletic Training Intern at Penn State University (2018-2019), Assistant Athletic Trainer and Rehabilitation Coordinator at Oakland University (2019-2022), and Certified Athletic Trainer at Michigan State University (2022-Present). Alex makes a difference in the lives of the patients he serves through considerable experience in integrating manual therapy techniques to maximize progress in rehabilitation. Several of the manual therapy techniques Alex has learned (both years of experience and continuing education) include joint mobilizations, Muscle Energy Technique (MET), and Active Release Technique (ART). Rehabilitation and understanding movement have become major focal points for Alex’s intellectual knowledge from both continuing education courses and learning from fellow Athletic Trainers. Selected continuing education courses include Champion Performance Specialist (C-PS), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA, levels one and two), and Functional Range Assessment (FRA).
