Victoria Fauntroy DAT, LAT, ATC

Dr. Victoria Fauntroy works as the Dance Athletic Trainer for the Dance Department at Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi, providing medical care to approximately 90 dance majors, minors, and apprentices and teaches the Dance Kinesiology course. Fauntroy produces dance medicine research presentations and peer-reviewed journal articles, and participates in community outreach to increase the visibility of athletic trainers in the performing arts. Furthermore, she serves as a member on the Intersectionality Task Force and Nominating Committee under the International Association for Dance Medicine & Science, Performing Arts Panel under the NATA Council on Practice Advancement COPA, and Mississippi Ethnic Diversity Advisory Committee. Fauntroy’s research interests include sleep, health-related quality of life (HRQoL), injury and dance exposure epidemiology within the collegiate dance population, and dance for health.
