Derek Port is the current Director of Athletic Training Services at Campbellsville University in Kentucky. Derek holds a Master's of Business Administration from Campbellsville University, Master's Degree in Sports Health Care from A.T. Still University-The Arizona School of Health Sciences, and a Bachelor's degree from Augustana (IL) College in Biology.

Derek is a Certified Member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), and currently serves as the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) chair to the Intercollegiate Council for Sports Medicine (ICSM). He is a past President of the NAIA Athletic Trainers Association and past member of the NAIA-ATA Board of Directors. He also leads the Mid-South Athletic Conference (MSC) as the chairperson for Athletic Training Services.

He has led his Athletic Training staff to six (6) MSC Athletic Training Staff of the Year awards. He has also been named MSC Above and Beyond Athletic Trainer of the Year four (4) times. In 2019, he was recognized as the NAIA Athletic Trainer of the Year by his peers.

Derek uses a strong foundation of developing and progressing the care of student-athletes at the collegiate level to drive department success. The whole student-athlete approach has enabled his team to achieve great success in patient outcomes.
