Ramonica Scott PhD, LAT, ATC

Dr. Ramonica Scott is a tenured associate professor and program director for the Abilene Christian University Master of Athletic Training Program (ACU MATP). She teaches the therapeutic intervention courses within the MATP and assists with coordinating the MATP student immersive clinical experiences. In addition, she works with various ACU student organizations, helping them build communication and leadership skills. Prior to ACU, she worked as a certified athletic trainer, preceptor and instructor for the Athletic Training Program at Henderson State University and an instructor in the athletic training education program at Frostburg State University. Preceding Dr. Scott’s career in academia, she began her college education at Tyler Junior College where she earned an Associate of Arts degree in Health & Kinesiology. After transferring to and graduating from the University of Tulsa with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training, she attended Northwestern State University in Louisiana and earned a Master of Science degree in Health and Human Performance with an Emphasis in Sports Administration. Dr. Scott was born and raised in Texas and loves to travel.
