Dr. Ciara Taylor is in her 16th year as an athletic trainer at Oak Mountain High School (OMHS) in Birmingham, Alabama. Prior to OMHS, she was an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Alabama State University. Ciara has worked with many professional athletes. She was employed as a concussion spotter for the United States Football League (USFL). Dr. Taylor is currently an adjunct professor at the United States Sports University.
Dr. Taylor is the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) Secondary School Athletic Trainers Committee Chair. She also serves as a NATA Research and Education Foundation Ambassador and on the Scholarship Committee. She is a proud life member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated.
Dr. Taylor is an alumna of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale where she received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. She earned her Master of Science in Sport Administration from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana and her Doctor of Education in Sports Management with an emphasis in Sports Medicine from the United States Sports Academy. Ciara is married to Tyrell Taylor with whom they have a daughter named Chloe and German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois, Bowzer.
