Dr. Laura McDonald is a sport scientist and Certified Athletic Trainer with over 20 years of experience spanning clinical practice, higher education, and applied research, specializing in biomechanics, motor learning, and softball performance. She integrates clinical assessment and sport science to design individualized return-to-play progressions and long-term development strategies, with scholarly work focused on force production, joint kinematics, workload management, and female athlete health. As Lead Sport Scientist and Director of Athlete Health & Wellness at OGX Softball, she is widely recognized for translating complex movement science into practical, evidence-based solutions for coaches and clinicians.
