East Valley High School

Denton Norwood MS, LAT, ATC has spent his 20+ year career as a secondary school athletic trainer and educator. He is the AT at East Valley High School in Yakima, WA through MultiCare Memorial Hospital’s sports medicine outreach program. In addition, he teaches sports medicine at EVHS as part of their Career and Technical Education department. He received a Bachelors’ of Science in Athletic Training from Eastern Washington University, and both a Masters’ of Science in Exercise Science and Career and Technical Educator Certification from Central Washington University. Currently he serves as the NWATA Secondary School Athletic Trainers’ Committee Chair and the D10 representative to the NATA Secondary School Athletic Trainers’ Committee. His prior service includes the WSATA Secondary School Athletic Trainers’ Committee, Chair and member of the WSATA Public Relations Committee, and as a professional member and Chair of the WA Department of Health Athletic Training Advisory Committee.

In his personal life, he is a dedicated husband and father to his wife of 18 years, Kayla, and two daughters Kaylee (14) and Maggie (11).
