Kendal Ayers, MD, FACEP
Medical Director
USACS and Bon Secours Mercy Health
Dr. Kendal Ayers stepped into the role of Medical Director in the summer of 2021, when clinical teams were navigating the immense challenges of a post COVID transition. Her work on the Workplace Violence Committee and the Medical Executive Committee lent a broader lens to address safety, wellbeing, and accountability, and those experiences shaped the two phase model that was developed. By pairing structured feedback with a sabbatical program, she sought to give clinicians both a voice in shaping their environment and the opportunity to restore themselves without compromising organizational stability.
