MHR Fund Management LLC’s annual general meeting was held virtually in December 2021, drawing hundreds of online attendees to its dedicated virtual event platform. The private equity firm marked its 25th year of trading with an exclusively online event, having attendees participate remotely to combat the spread of COVID-19 and reduce costs.

More than 300 participants attended the annual general meeting, with MHR’s corporate officers and industry experts discussing the fund’s performance, responsibilities and future investment opportunities. Leading figures from corporations such as Lionsgate, Fiber Industries and Planet Financial attended 17 broadcasts as virtual guest speakers, with some speaking live to the online audience.

MHR had a specific vision for their clients and worked with All in the Loop’s in house design team to produce a sleek and professional layout. With a focus on branding, buttons on the home page were given the MHR corporate colours and set against the backdrop of its stunning New York head office. The virtual event platform’s side menu was also customised, with tabs for speaker biographies and resources like presentation notes as well as the meeting’s agenda and broadcast links.

With such a high-profile audience, a high-quality viewing experience was essential. The All in the Loop video editing team produced aesthetically pleasing and effective video transitions, ensuring dynamic and engaging broadcasts. Pre-recorded broadcasts were also uploaded in advance of the live event, with all resources from the day stored on the virtual event platform. This way, attendees could explore the platform before, during and after the event for longevity and convenience.

MHR also requested All in the Loop disable the question-and-answer features on a number of broadcasts, both for compliance reasons and to keep the event flowing. All in the Loop’s virtual event platforms are versatile and readily customisable, so the team were able to accommodate this.
