Dr. Matt Mills, EdD, AT, CHSE, is an assistant professor, simulation coordinator, and Pre-Professional Athletic Training Program Director at Springfield College. With experience in clinical practice, higher education, and healthcare technology, he brings a multifaceted perspective to workforce development and education in athletic training. His research focuses on technology-based strategies to build clinical skills, soft skills, and student confidence. Dr. Mills serves on the National Athletic Trainers’ Association’s Professional Responsibility in Athletic Training Committee, where he helps guide national dialogue on ethical and legal issues in the profession, as well as serves in leadership roles in the CAATE and NATA-REF. His current interests center on the ethical use of technology in both clinical care and educational settings.
