The 2021 MINExpo® is a Powerhouse for the Mining Industry
In its 25th year of exhibition, The National Mining Association’s (NMA) flagship MINExpo® International 2021 trade show drew together thousands of attendees to experience the latest and greatest in mining innovation.
As the world’s largest mining show, MINExpo is a fantastic method of achieving branding exposure to a vast audience – this year’s show featuring a staggering 1100 exhibitors. Leading industry names such as Caterpillar, J.H. Fletcher, Mega Corp and Komatsu demonstrated their state-of-the-art products, with event sponsors Komatsu celebrating their 100th anniversary this year and promoting sustainable mining solutions.
The immense Las Vegas Convention Center has been MINExpo’s venue of choice since 1996, providing a space for stakeholders in the coal, metal and nonmetal mining processing industries to Network, demo an array of products, and connect about their passions. The scale of MINExpo also allowed for the amplification of important issues, with a representative of the People of Red Mountain informing attendees on the proposed excavation of their sacred tribal land at Thacker Pass.
Spanning the 13th – 15th September, The NMA opted for an In-Person experience to maximize impact and optimize the sampling of products. Attendees had the opportunity to experience the insight of esteemed speakers first-hand, including: Jimmy A. Brock (president and CEO, CONSOL Energy); Jeffrey Dawes (president and CEO, Komatsu Mining Corp., and Chair of MINExpo International 2021); and Denise C. Johnson (group president for Resource Industries, Caterpillar Inc.) For an event of this size, All In The Loop’s custom online platform was a smart solution, creating streamlined organization for a complex event through a consolidated mobile app and desktop version. A skilled team altered information when required and crafted vibrant, revolving banners for ample Sponsorship Opportunities. Attendees could also use the app to effortlessly browse 1463 different Exhibitor Booths in combination with an Interactive Map to easily navigate the enormous site.
Sponsors FLSmidth used in-app banners to promote their ‘Mission Zero’ initiative, vying for zero emissions in mining. Consistent with the show’s cutting-edge approach was its timely range of sessions, varying from Artificial Intelligence, to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) within mining. An added layer of significance for 2021’s MINExpo was what it symbolized, indicating the beginning of a transition back to In-Person events.
NMA designed the app to function as a central resource for attendees, using the space to display information on COVID-19 safety and where to pick up their personalized badges. 2021’s MINExpo was also the venue for its annual Awards Luncheon, recognizing the exceptional achievements of US mining companies in safety, technology and environmental stewardship.
All In The Loop were proud to be MINExpo’s service of choice to assist with their landmark 2021 show, signposting the event world’s gradual return to the incomparable In-Person event.
