As the UK’s flagship trade event for independent brewing, SIBA BeerX 2026 brought together thousands of craft brewers, industry suppliers and beer enthusiasts for a jam-packed two-day schedule of seminars, regional beer showcases, and prestigious industry awards.

To support the event’s growth, the BeerX organizers needed a robust registration system capable of handling complex ticket types, from SIBA members and trade buyers to speakers and VIP award nominees. By delivering an intuitive online registration platform, instant live badge printing, dedicated onsite support, and an integrated mobile app, we ensured a frictionless, end-to-end journey for every attendee.

The challenge: managing multitiered registration at scale

Trade exhibitions of this scale come with unique operational hurdles:

Varied attendee journeys: BeerX serves diverse groups, SIBA brewery members, trade visitors, exhibitors, and media. The registration workflow needed to automatically apply logic and conditional forms based on member status and ticket tiers.
Disconnected touchpoints: The client needed a unified tech stack so attendee data flowed seamlessly from initial online sign-up to onsite check-in and engagement inside the mobile app.

The solution: a frictionless registration engine

1. Tailored online registration & ticketing

We built a clean, branded registration portal configured specifically for BeerX 2026. The registration site allowed delegates to easily sign up, select sessions, and receive an instant confirmation email featuring a unique, scannable QR code. Custom registration paths ensured SIBA members received appropriate access rights and member pricing automatically.

2. Onsite check-In & on-demand badge printing

To eliminate arrival queues, we deployed a rapid QR-code check-in system at Exhibition Centre Liverpool. Upon arrival, delegates simply scanned the QR code from their mobile devices. High-speed thermal printers generated custom, crisp badges in under two seconds, complete with personalized details and visual tier indicators (Exhibitor, Delegate, Speaker).

3. Onsite tech specialists

Technology is only as strong as the team behind it. We dispatched two expert members of staff onsite throughout the event setup and live days. Our team managed:

Hands-on assistance for fast-track registration and last-minute walk-ups.
Rapid line management during peak arrival windows, ensuring delegates moved from the front doors to the exhibition hall in seconds.

4. Fully Integrated mobile event app

The delegate journey didn’t end at the registration desk. Registrants were automatically synced into the BeerX 2026 Event App, enabling them to:

View interactive seminar schedules, speaker profiles, and floor plans.
Connect and network with fellow independent brewers and exhibitors in real time.
