Women In Analytics’s mission is to increase visibility to the women making an impact in the analytics space

Throughout, the event organisers were clear on their vision and we knew how to achieve this for them, this started firstly with design. Our designers created a look and feel according to their specifications which they were very happy with after a few minor tweaks. We then looked into building up the content within the site. Giving them all the information, they needed in order for the site to be fleshed out.

This includes 31 sessions with a mix of live music, discussion rooms and main stage sessions. We also ran competitions within platform, such as their photo booth, an in-platform leader board for completing set tasks and a data hackathon. We also had a virtual happy hour on this event. This was all in effort to make the virtual event more interactive and promote collaboration between the participants.

The live event days ran really well, this is down to the preparation of the speakers, exhibitors, AV Team and WIA team itself. We organised, as we do with each event, training sessions for anyone who has a role to play on the day. We had 4 open speaker training sessions over two weeks in order to test and train people on the platform. We also had separate calls with the AV team who were running embedded video into the platform and separate exhibitor training videos. Because of all this everything went through seamlessly on the days of the event.
